How does a story’s time period provide the reader with a reference point? Your answer should be 2 to 3 sentences.

English
2 answers:
Lostsunrise [7]3 years ago

Answer:

The story's time period provides the reader with a reference point, for if someone reads a book about the early eighteen hundreds, they can assume that slavery has not yet been abolished and that people are outwardly racist. This helps provide a reference point, as if you didn't know the time period, you would be confused as why these events were happening.

Why does Sullivan Balliou tell his wife not to mourn him when he is dead?
harina [27]

Answer:

He felt as if his love for her was endless. Yet, he also  felt that the cause he was serving was right and he was willing to put everything he had in to support it. As because his love was endless for her, he didn't want her to be pained and as he knew he would probably die in the following battle, he wrote the famous letter telling her that it was going to be okay and that she didn't need to mourn his death.
