Plants also have structures that help them survive. Plants have different parts, like roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruit. These structures help them survive. Other plants have flowers that are the perfect shape for insects to visit and help with pollination. Some plants have really long roots that help the plant gather water from deep below the surface of the Earth. Plants that live in really dry areas, like a desert, have special leaves.

What is the energy source that allows photosynthesis to occur?
Pie

Answer:

\boxed {\boxed {\sf The \ sun }}

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is a special process that certain organisms (plants, algae, and some bacteria) undergo to create "food".

This turns light energy, carbon dioxide, and water into glucose and oxygen. The glucose becomes the food for the organism, because it is turned into ATP during cellular respiration. The ATP is energy that fuels the processes, like growth, repair, and transport.

This process occurs because of the sun. It provides the light energy needed for the reaction. Organelles inside of the cells, called chloroplasts, contain a pigment (chlorophyll) that captures this energy.

Which of the following is an example of radiation?
drek231 [11]

Answer: D. Our atmosphere is constantly being heated by the sun.

Radiation is the transmission of energy in the form of waves or particles released by one source and absorbed by another source. Types of radiations includes electromagnetic radiation, particle radiation, acoustic radiations and gravitational radiations.

Our atmosphere is constantly being heated by the sun is the example of the radiation because the sun radiates energy in all directions in the form of heat, light and radiations. Solar energy in the form of radiation is either reflected back to the sun or it is absorbed by the earth atmosphere. Therefore, this causes heating up of the earth atmosphere.

larisa86 [58]

Answer:

The correct answer is option E.

Explanation:

The deep-colored, water-soluble proteins, which are mainly found in Rhodophyta and cyanobacteria are known as phycobiliproteins. They captivate the light energy and then pass it to the chlorophyll at the time of photosynthesis.

They are comprised of proteins and are covalently attached through cysteine amino acid chromophores known as phycobilins. Thus, the correct answer is option E.
