Answer: $535,251.25

Explanation:

Cash flow to investors from operating activities is calculated by:

= EBIT + Depreciation - Taxes

EBIT = Sales - Cost of goods sold - Depreciation

= 1,484,000 - 803,000 - 175,000

= $506,000

Taxes = Tax rate * (EBIT - Interest)

= 35% * (506,000 - 89,575)

= $145,748.75

Cash flow to investors = 506,000 + 175,000 - 145,748.75

= $535,251.25

Answer:

The answer is: Democratic management style

Explanation:

This management style is based on the belief that two heads are better than one, and that every employee (no matter position they hold) deserves to have a say.

So managers that follow this style usually encourage their employees to participate and share their ideas and suggestions. They tend to create horizontal organizations, but the final and last decision still belongs to the boss.

Employees usually like this system because they feel they are a valuable and important part of the organization. Many times it leads to higher efficiency and productivity.

As a downside, these organizations tend be more messy (informal) and decision making processes are very time consuming.

Answer:

there are no requirements, but I assume that they ask about issuance costs and their amortization:

market price of the bonds:

PV of face value = $5,000,000 / (1 + 10%)²⁰ = $743,218

PV of coupon payments = $400,000 x 8.5136 (PV annuity factor, 10%, 20 periods) = $3,405,440

market price = $4,148,658

Journal entry to record issuance and bond issue costs

Dr Discount on bonds payable 851,342

Dr Bond issue costs 60,000

amortization of bond discount and issue costs = ($4,088,658 x 10%) - $400,000 = $8,865.80 ≈ $8,866

allocation to bond issue costs = ($60,000 / $911,342) x $8,866 = $583.71  ≈ $584

allocation to bond discount = $8,866 - $584 = $8,282

The same has happened in the above question as well. Chet Bowes who owned his own lanscapped business has now transferred the ownership to his son Josh who has recently taken charge, now it is very much clear from the question neither Josh built the company on his own now was hired on the basis of his capabilities, the transfer happened on the basis of his relationship with the owner of the company.
