The component of a homeostatic control system which transmits the response is called the receptor.
The receptor is the part of the human body that experiences everything - if you hurt yourself, that receptor will transmit the pain signal throughout the body, reach the brain, which will then make you react to pain in one way or another.

Control group

Explanation:

Experiments are usually designed so that the differences between the experiment and control groups can be observed.

 • The experimental group is the group that follows the details of the hypothesis where variables are changed to see their causes and effects.
 • The control group is the standard by which the experimental group is compared with.
 • The variables are being tested for in the experimental group to see how they are changing .

Calculate the population growth rates for the different population sizes shown below. Enter your values rounded to the nearest w
son4ous [18]

Population growth is a change in population at any time and can be calculated as a change in the number of individuals in a population using "per unit time" for measurement.

Further Explanation

The term population growth refers to all species, but always refers to humans, and is often used informally as a demographic designation of the value of population increase, and is used to refer to world population growth. Population growth itself is influenced by factors of birth, death, and migration. In demographics, there is a term increase in a natural population and an increase in the total population. Where natural population growth is only influenced by births and deaths, while total population growth is affected by births, deaths, in-migration, and out-migration (emigration).

Back to the population growth rate. The rate of population growth each year in a certain period is called the population growth rate expressed in percentage units (%). This population growth rate also reflects the rate of population growth of an area every year. The higher population growth rate indicates a faster rate of population growth. Conversely, if a low population growth rate shows a slow population growth rate.

When population growth can exceed the loading capacity of an area or environment, the results end with overpopulation. Disruptions in human populations can cause problems such as pollution and traffic congestion, even though they can be covered by technological and economic changes. This region can be considered "underpopulated" if the population is not large enough to manage the economic system.

Growth value = (end population period - initial period population) / initial population period

Growth ratio = Growth value X 100%

Describe how the functional units for beta carotene, xanthophyll, chlorophyll a, and chlorophyll b are different. be sure to ide
leonid [27]

The pigments have a similar structure of 40 carbon atoms covalently bonded in a chain. Carotenoids contain oxygen atoms in their chemical structure (retinyl functional group) while xanthophyll does not. This makes carotenoids more non-polar compared to xanthophylls, hence move farthest in chromatography paper using a nonpolar mobile phase. Chlorophyll pigment, on the other hand, has chlorin rings (which are larger) as functional units hence move slowly in chromatography.

Photosynthetic rates can be measured by either the amount of oxygen they consume per particular time period or the amount of carbon dioxide produced per particular time period. This is conducted while immersed in water so as to measure bubble rate formation in case of oxygen production or the change in water pH in the case of carbon dioxide consumption.

When autumn approaches, the amount sunlight received by the plant is reduced due to longer night than days. Deciduous trees have adapted by losing chlorophyll a and b pigments (most important in photosynthesis) during this time. This leaves a higher amount of the other red and yellow pigments hence making the leaves change from green to yellow-red.

It is believed that this is the result of an ancient endosymbiotic relationship between a protist and a eukaryotic cell. The protist generates energy that the eukaryotic can utilize in its growth and reproduction while the protist is sheltered. This relationship became obligatory symbiosis over time.
