There are three ways in which exogenous dna can be
introduced into a bacterial genome. These are; transduction, transformation and
conjugation. Transduction is the introduction of exogenous material into bacteria
by viruses; conjugation is exchange of genetic material between bacteria sexual
through reproduction; while transformation
is uptake of exogenous dna by bacteria, from its surrounding, through the
bacterial membrane.
The purpose of inserting a combination of genes in a plant, is to make it as useful and productive as possible. This process provides advantages like improving shelf life, higher yield, improved quality, pest resistance, tolerant to heat, cold and drought resistance, against a variety of biotic and abiotic stresses.
Therefore, this plant could be used to reduce world hunger and malnutrition
I didn’t get to see this answer but it was very easy for me
Answer:
Smaller molecules diffuse easily as compared to the larger molecules. In other words, smaller is the size of molecule, easier and faster is its diffusion across a semipermeable membrane.
Diffusion is a process by which molecules move ( via semipermeable membrane) from an area where its concentration is higher to an area where its concentration is lower.
Size of molecules can impact the process of diffusion as smaller is the size, faster is the rate of diffusion.
