Explanation:

on the bottom of the image there seems to be a mirror, and compass.

mirrors were not common place in medieval Europe, only the rich possessed them.

There also seems to be a compass close to the mirror, beside the coins.

The final thing I could find is, if you look VERY VERY closely it looks like there is a lightbulb with a string hanging off of it, it is in the top left corner.

these assumptions were made that the middle ages were between the 500-1000 A.D.
