What is the main source of conflict in the Tower of Babel?

English

The Tower of Babel is an origin myth meant to explain why the world's peoples speak different languages
According to the story, a united human race in the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating eastward, comes to the land of Shinar (שִׁנְעָר‎). There they agree to build a city and a tower tall enough to reach heaven. God, observing their city and tower, confounds their speech so that they can no longer understand each other, and scatters them around the world.

2 Write the past form of the verbs in exercise 1
Katyanochek1 [597]

Answer:

Exercise 2:

just add 'ed' : pushed and baked

take off the 'e' + 'ed' double the last letter: clapped

Exercise 3:

just add 'ed': played

take off the 'e' + 'ed' double the last letter: stopped

Explanation:

When we form regular verbs in Past Simple, we normally add the termination 'ed' to their infinitive form.

e.g. played, lived, baked, pushed, etc.

However, there are some cases when we must apply some changes to the base of the verb, in order to obtain an adequate past simple form. If a verb ends in a vowel and a consonant, we double the consonant before adding  -ed.

e.g. clapped, stopped, planned, etc.
