Read Jenna Wortham's, "Has Coronavirus Made the Internet Better," pp. 587-591. What is her thesis? Do you agree or disagree with
larisa86 [58]

I agree with the claim as our internet connection has suddenly evolved into an umbilical cord to the outer world. We now rely on it to carry out our daily tasks, attend to school, and interact with others. Our main source of amusement comes from it. And we employ it frequently.

How y illustrate the information?

According to Cloudflare, a US company that offers network infrastructure to companies all over the world, internet traffic grew by about a quarter between January and late March in many big cities. Particularly for some internet businesses, demand has surged. Face-to-face communication with coworkers, family, and friends has been supplanted by video calls.

Throughout the first two months of 2020, more people began using Zoom, a video conferencing program, than in the entire year of 2019. Additionally, home entertainment is flourishing. The popular online PC game retailer Steam is seeing record usage. Over 24 million players were online at once this past weekend, a 25% increase from February.

In conclusion, I agree with the claim as our internet connection has suddenly evolved into an umbilical cord to the outer world. We now rely on it to carry out our daily tasks, attend to school, and interact with others. Our main source of amusement comes from it. And we employ it frequently.

Everyday on radio, on TV, and in the newspaper, we hear, see or read about many problems in the world, for example, pollution pr
Nadya [2.5K]

This Passage is all about pollution and what we have to do for better live in the world.

What is Pollution?

The introduction of toxins into the environment that have a negative impact on it is known as pollution. Pollution can be any kind of material or energy. Both naturally occurring contaminants and imported substances/energies can be considered pollutants, which are the elements of pollution.

A single significant environmental emitter is referred to as a point source. This typically indicates that a source may be located, such as a manufacturing drainpipe or the smokestack of a coal-fired power station.

Non-point sources, on the other hand, are challenging or even impossible to identify since their pollutants are scattered. An illustration would be the runoff of pesticides and fertilizers from lawns on golf courses, farms, and homes into lakes or streams. Although the presence of pollution in the streams and lakes is obvious, its exact source is not always clear.
