Gnesinka [82]

This question is incomplete. Here´s the complete question.

Rewrite the following sentences:

1. My parents don’t let me go out late at night.

2. Why don’t we play chess?

3. I advise you not to play with the dog.

5. We had better not stop. The car tank is full.

7. The last time they met was two years ago.

8. Henkel School is more successful than Linton School.

Answer:

1. I'm not allowed by my parents to go out late at night.

2. Would you like to play chess?

3. You shouldn't play with the dog.

4. You mustn´t walk on the grass

5. We don´t need to stop. The car tank is full

6. She might get a low mark.

7. They haven't met in two years

8. Henkel School´s success is higher than that of Linton School.

Explanation:

To make an invitation, a formal phrase could be "would you like (to)" and tan informal one could be "do you want (to)"

"Mustn't" means that something it's not permitted.

"Should" and "shouldn't" are used to express a mild obligation or advice.

"Allow" and "let" are verbs with a similar meaning, whether it is to give permission or making something possible for someone.

Please Help! (I showed the paragraph with the question.)
yawa3891 [41]
B) the wheels eliminate friction

bc the author is emphasising the importance of kinetic v/ potential energy, the answer could be D) comparision and contrast, but that has nothing to do with the wheels themselves. (actually there is no mention of wheels at all in the whole paragraph, so idk maybe it is D.)
