Answer:

A. 5.8%

B. 1,000

Explanation:

Calculation for Boone’s unemployment rate

Unemployment rate=[(70,000-1,000)-65,000]/(70,000-1,000)*100

Unemployment rate=(69,000-65,000)/69,000*100

Unemployment rate=4,000/69,000*100

Unemployment rate=5.8%

Therefore Boone’s unemployment rate will be 5.8%

B. Calculation for How many people are unemployed as a result of structural unemployment

Unemployed people=[(70,000-1,000)-65,000]-1,000-2,000

Unemployed people= 4,000 - 1,000 - 2,000

Unemployed people=1,000

Therefore the numbers of people that are are unemployed as a result of structural unemployment will be 1,000

At December 31, 2020 Bramble Corp. had 298000 shares of common stock and 9800 shares of 6%, $100 par value cumulative preferred
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

the earning per common share is $3.83 per share

Explanation:

The computation of the earning per common share is shown below

= Net income ÷ weighted number of outstanding shares

= $1,143,000 ÷ (298,000 shares)

= $3.83 per share

We simply divided the net income from the  weighted number of outstanding shares so that the earning per share could be determined

hence, the earning per common share is $3.83 per share

Fontaine Inc. recently reported net income of $2 million. It has 500,000 shares of common stock, which currently trades at $40 a
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

$50

Explanation:

Given,

Current Net income = $2,000,000

No. of common shares today = 500,000

Current market price per share = $40

Anticipated Net income in 1 year = $ 3,250,000

Anticipated No. of common shares in 1 year = 500,000 +150000 =650,000

From this data, then

The current Earnings Per Share(EPS) = \frac{2,000,000}{500,000} = 4

Current Price/Earning ratio = \frac{ Price per share}{EPS} = \frac{40}{4} = 10

Anticipated EPS in 1 year=\frac{Anticipated Net income in 1 year }{Anticipated No. of common shares in 1 year } = \frac{3,250,000}{650,000} = $5

If the company's P/E ratio remain as that of the current at 10, then

The anticipated price of stock in 1 year = Anticipated EPS * P/E ratio in 1 year

 = $5 *10 = $50
