The solution has to be a value of x. Since you already have x, you just have to plug in the value and see what fits. In this case thats the third from the top:

5^2 - 10*5 + 25 = 0

25 - 50 + 25 = 0

0 = 0

Hope it helps!

Tommy can lay a brick walkway by himself in 12 hours. Robert does the same job in 10 hours.
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

5 5/11 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

So, there is a trick to doing this.

You would first need to get their work rate into the same measurements.

That's why we will find out how much they each work in one hour.

Tommy does 1/12 of the work in one hour while Robert does 1/10.

Here we can add them both up to make 11/60.

They finish 11/60 of the work in one hour.

They finish the job in 5 5/11 hours.

Julie is constructing a scale model of her room.The rectangular room is 10 1/4 inches by 8 inches.If 1 inch represents 2 feet of
zlopas [31]
The way to determine this is to know that 1 foot is 12 inches (so 2 is 24)
Now the ration that would determine the scale factor of the room is 1:24 (1 inch for every 24 inches)
So the scale factor is 1:24
Now to determine the area we multiply the numbers we have by 2 and change the inches to feet (I hope that makes sense to you, it does to me, I'll show you)
10.25 * 2 = 20.5 ft.
8 * 2 = 16 ft.
now we know the dimensions of the room so we need to find the area.
A=B*H
20.5 * 16 = 328
so the area of the room is 328 ft.²

A sample size of 500 is sufficiently large enough to conclude that the sampling distribution of the sample proportions is a norm
Paha777 [63]

In a statistical test, the null hypothesis to be made is that the sample proportions do not have any significant differences, which means an equal distribution. This is only rejected when the estimate is equal or less than 0.95. But since in this case it is >0.95, so therefore the null hypothesis is not rejected. Therefore:

False
