A blanket

The sentence says, "I pulled the soft red wool over my <em>entire body</em>", so that means that the answer can't be a hat or a glove, you can't put a hat over your entire body. Since the sentence also uses "pulled", I can assume that the answer is blanket because I don't think that you commonly say, when wearing a sweater, that you pull it on.

Personal I would say desperate. The reason I would say that is because Excited is 100% not what he was feeling. And stubborn? That wouldn’t make any sense he would be angry and insisting not to wear what Mary gave him. And the definition of jovial is somewhat similar to the meaning of excited. However desperate is the best choice out of all of them.
