Answer:

What I've read, seen, and learned about the Vietnam War was that a lot of people had to leave their homes. Also, after Saigon went down, hundreds or thousands of people has to escape onto U.S ships. Before the Vietnam War, both North and South Vietnam were going to war against each other. So, after Saigon went down, many refugee camps opened in America. There were also many volunteers at the camps, some where helping full time to get Vietnamese get jobs. The camps were located in California, Arkansas, Florida, and Pennsylvania.

1. In a response of no fewer than two paragraphs, discuss the theme of Sara Teasdale's "Barter" and the poetic devices she uses
vitfil [10]
Barter tries to convince the reader that there is beauty in life. All of the similes and metaphors used in the poem illustrate this. "Music like a curve of gold," "Blue waves whitened on a cliff," "Holding wonder like a cup," "one white singing hour of peace" all serve as examples for the beauty that can be found in simple moments and sensations.
The poem is written in rhymed iambic tetrameter. This helps the poem sound more musical.
Hope this helps.

How can the following simple sentences be joined to create a compound sentence?
torisob [31]

That's correct, it's option D) Both A and B.

Option C looks incorrect due to the misuse of punctuation. Since the conjunction "and" was added, there is no reason to use a semicolon before it in this situation.

Option A uses correct punctuation, comma, before the conjunction "and". Let's keep it in mind that it is a conjunction's role to connect two sentences in order to form a compound one.

Option B is also correct because, even though it does not use a conjunction to connect the sentences, it uses the semicolon to indicate the sentences are related, that their ideas are connected.

A free morpheme and a bound morpheme
Serggg [28]
Every morpheme can be classified as either free or bound. These categories are mutually exclusive, and as such, a given morpheme will belong to exactly one of them.

Free morphemes can function independently as words (e.g. town, dog) and can appear with other lexemes (e.g. town hall, doghouse).
Bound morphemes appear only as parts of words, always in conjunction with a root and sometimes with other bound morphemes. For example, un- appears only accompanied by other morphemes to form a word.
