Hurry ASAP) Graph the system of equations. f ( x) = x^2 - 5x + 7 and g(x)=2x + 1. Which statements are true about the solutions

to the system of equations? Select each correct answer. ( I accidentally clicked on option A but I don't know the answer at all). Will Mark Brainliest.

Answer:

Options (2), (4) and (6)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given system of equations is,

f(x) = x² - 5x + 7

g(x) = 2x + 1

By equating both the functions,

f(x) = g(x)

x²- 5x + 7 = 2x + 1

x² - 5x - 2x + 7 - 1 = 0

x² - 7x + 6 = 0

x² - 6x - x + 6 = 0

x(x - 6) - 1(x - 6) = 0

(x - 1)(x - 6) = 0

x = 1, 6

For x = 1,

g(x) = 2x + 1

g(1) = 2(1) + 1

     = 3

For x = 6,

g(6) = 2(6) + 1

      = 13

Common points (solutions) of both the functions 'f' and 'g' are (1, 3) and (6, 13).

Both the solutions lie in quadrant 1.

x-coordinate of the solution (1, 3) is x = 1.

y-coordinate of the solution (1, 3) is y = 3.

Therefore, options (2), (4) and (6) are the correct options.

Aleksandr-060686 [28]

Answer:

The rule for number 20 is plus 1/6, and the unknown term is 5/6.

Step-by-step explanation:1. If you skip the first two fractions and move to 1, 1/6 you will notice that it has an increase of 1/6.

2. Now, to make sure that 1/6 is the correct rule, we do have to go back to the first two fractions and give them common denominators: 1/2 turns into 3/6, and 2/3 turns into 4/6.

3. No once you look at your fractions, you can see that 1/6 is the true rule.

4. Now that we know t he rule we can turn to completing the unknown term. Since we are only moving by 1/6 it makes it very easy to add that 1/6 to your 4/6 to get 5/6. You can't simplify 5/6, so your final answer for the unknown term is 5/6.

Hope this helps :)

Papessa [141]

Answer:

f(g(3)) = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

We are told to solve for f(g(3)). This is also saying f of g of 3.

To find f(g(3)), we need to plug 3 in for x in g(x), since it says g(3).

g(x) = 3(3) - 4

Solve.

= 9 - 4

g(x) = 5

Now, we plug that into f(x), because g(x) was placed inside f and replaces the x variable of f(x).

f(5) = 2(5) - 7

Solve.

= 10 - 7

f(5) = 3.

f(g(3)) = 3

Barbara claims that her horse can do simple addition problems. She showed her horse 8 different cards with simple addition probl
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

"Yes, the chances of getting 8 correct when guessing are very low"

Step-by-step explanation:

The point diagrams show us how likely is the occurrence of an event. When casting 8 coins there is a chance to get between 1 and 8 tails.

The dot plot tells us how many times 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 tails were obtained. When the number of trials increases, then the value with the most points in the diagram represents the number of queues most likely to be obtained, and the value with fewer points represents the least probable number of queues that can be obtained by casting 8 times a coin .

The dot plot for the experiment shows that it is very unlikely to get 8 queues when casting 8 coins. Of 53 times, this only happened once.

Just as it is unlikely to get 8 tails when throwing 8 coins, it is also unlikely that a horse guesses the 8 correct answers of the 8 simple sum problems. Then, the horse of barbara maybe did not guess the 8 answers.

Therefore the correct answer is option A:

"Yes, the chances of getting 8 correct when guessing are very low"
