How to summarize a story and explain the different conflicts
fomenos

You take a story and explain the entire thing with only a couple paragraphs, and you don't want to give away any special details that way a person can know a little about the book and want to read it. Like a "A dog and His Ball" is about a lost dog who doesn't have a family and finds an old ball to play with. You would put this on the back of a book and then people would be drawn to read this book. ( I just made something up so it may not make sense sorry.)

I'm not really sure I understand what you are asking, but I tried to answer the best I could, please let me know if this isn't what you meant.

Which subordinating conjunction correctly completes this sentence?
garri49 [273]

The correct subordinating conjunction is "yet" and the sentence is completed as follows:

Mandy practiced karate every day, yet she failed to beat her final opponent.

The word "yet" is a subordinating conjunction that means "nevertheless" or "however", it is associated with negative statements in order to mention that an event did not take place.

In this sentence, it explains that even though Mandy had practiced she did not beat her opponent.

A batman comic from the newspaper in which batman defends the universe by winning a battle against the joker.
Katarina [22]
The answer would be A) Entertain because Batman is a superhero from DC Comics and WB so in his comic books batman is NOT trying to persuade you into becoming a superhero and its not informal because its not informing you of anything, the answer is entertain because the comic is suppose to show a good vs bad battle so its in entertainment.
