WE ARE LEARNING THAT IT WAS DURING THE AGE OF ENLIGHTENMENT THAT THE UNITED STATES CAME INTO BEING AFTER BEING INSPIRED FROM THE
POLITICAL PHILOSOPHERS DURING THIS TIME. IN FACT, OUR BILL OR RIGHTS WAS INSPIRED BY THESE WRITERS. READ THE BILL OF RIGHTS. PICK OUT YOUR FAVORITE AMENDMENT. WHAT DOES THAT AMENDMENT MEAN? WHY DO YOU SUPPORT THAT AMENDMENT OVER THE OTHER NINE? HOW DOES IT APPLY TO YOUR LIFE?
Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The first Amendment tells that people have the freedom of speech meaning we can speak when ever we like. freedom of speech, religion and the press. It also protects the right to peaceful protest and to petition the government. I support this Amendment over all the other nine because it basically says we are free to do what ever we want or please.That no one no even the government can punish you for speaking your mind or thoughts. It apply's to make life by speaking when i like and believe what I want to believe.
"<span>(c)the ability of citizens to vote" is the best answer but this is very misleading. A referendum is when the citizens vote directly on a specific issue of policy. It's not their ability to vote for mayors, legislators, etc.</span>
