Answer:

Diatoms have two distinct shapes: a few (centric diatoms) are radially symmetric, while most (pennate diatoms) are broadly bilaterally symmetric. A unique feature of diatom anatomy is that they are surrounded by a cell wall made of silica (hydrated silicon dioxide), called a frustule.

How does the level of trans fats in non-heart attack patients compare to the level of trans fats in heart attack patients?
Elodia [21]

Trans fats or trans fatty acids are produced in an industrial process that adds hydrogen to liquid vegetable oils to make them more solid. It can be found in many foods – including fried foods like doughnuts, baked goods and in processed foods which has partially hydrogenated oils that is the primary dietary source of trans fat. The amount of trans fat can be determined in a particular packaged food by looking at the Nutrition Facts panel. It is one of the causes of heart attack. The trans fats level in non-heart attack patients is 84% of the level in heart attack patients.
