Chapter Three begins at the drive-in, after which, Ponyboy and Two-bit begin to walk to Two-bit's in order to get his car and drive Cherry and Marcia home. Their walk is broken up by the appearance of Cherry's boyfriend, Two-bit leaves to find a poker game, and Pony and Johnny fall asleep in a vacant lot.
