Answer:

Metaphor

Explanation:

Metaphors are used to apply things to other things that are not usually together. In this passage, you wouldn't usually "fly" to person to person at a party.

HELP PLEASE ASAP I WILL DO ANYTHING JUST PLEASE HELP...Write an argumentative essay that critiques and responds to an article. U
masya89 [10]

Answer:

It has forever been a debate on whether or not students should continue doing the amount of homework they normally do, or if they should do less. Students worldwide are arguing that they are treated unfairly, that they should have a less amount of homework to do. Students already have to do a ton of schoolwork as it is, so why should they get the same amount of work for homework? According to a study by Stanford University and a story from Healthline and an interview from Priceton review, they all state, "students get increased anxiety because they get overwhelmed with the amount of schoolwork, essays and tests throughout the day and they have the same amount as homework" "More and more students are dropping out, skipping class and lowering there scores because they feel too overwhelmed with the amount of work they have to do everyday."

On the other hand, teachers think "it is not enough work". Teachers have said endlessly, "The more you know, the better." They believe that students should know as much as they can in order to succeed in life. But even parents argue that they don't get to spend as much time with their child because they are at school most of the day, and then they come home to do homework for the rest of the day. Students not only miss out on family time or a social life, but they get irregular sleep schedules and they have harder time focusing in class, because they are too tired from staying up all night doing homework.

So teachers say that knowledge is everyhting and that we need to learn as much as we can, but how can students do so if they are too tired to focus on what teachers are teaching? Students come in and sometimes even skip breakfast because they are too tired and even skip lunch and dinner! Students have no time for their family, no time for a social life and no time for themselves. It has even been reported that students become dehydrated and unfit because they will be working all day, that they forget to drink water or even exercise. So homework is causing so many health problems for these students, and they are getting no time for anything else in their life, and increase anxiety and even depression because they feel lonely and they don't what to fail, so they keep working. Students even get low self esteem because they don't even get to build one when they are busy 24/7. They don't get to go out and feel confident in themselves, when they are afraid of failing.

In conclusion, students are getting more homework than they should. When this happens, students get irregular sleep schedules, increased anxiety, and no time for themselves and loved ones. This causes health problems and lack of motivation to even have a social life. Students are neglecting to eat, and they are over working themselves by working 24/7.
