I did it for a dare. My friends said that if I could sneak in to the orphanage, and steal the warden's shoes, they would let me in their group. I had no friends, being an egg and all, so I agreed. I had just managed to get into the warden's bedroom, when she had burst through the door and caught me.
So, then, I was running for my life while this angry lady was chasing after me. I saw an old mossy stone wall, and made a run for it. I grabbed to a ledge, and climbed up until I was ten feet in the air, looking down at the crowd of people below me.
The warden was still angry at me, and was shouting something that sounded like, "king's men", but I didn't care. It was rather peacfull up here, and I decided to stay for a while. Soon, the warden and all the other people scattered, and I was alone, watching a flock of geese fly over me.
Suddenly, I noticed one of the geese were flying low. Way to low, and before I could move out of the way, it had smacked me in the face, and I fell with a smash on the ground.
It was all a blur. I could see my yolk covering the ground, and I couldn't feel the lower half of my body. The last thing I saw was a bunch of soldiers on horses galloping towards me. Then, it all went black.
