Lethal alleles cause the death of an organism prenatal or after the birth. Lethal alleles are usually a consequence of a mutation and they can be recessive, dominant or conditional. Since the lethal dominant alleles are harmful whether they are carried in homozygous (e.g.AA) or heterozygous (e.g.Aa) form,  a strong selection against them is present and thus these alleles are much more rare.

How does geographic distribution of organisms support evolutionary theory?

Because the organism is distributed across the world, and isn't seen anymore, scientists can conclude tat they must have evolved. They can compare one species to the fossils they may have found, and determine that they were related. Then by looking at the species on another part of the world compare the same fossils to other animals and determine that they are similar, sharing a common ancestor.
