Answer:

The German army command spread the myth that the army had not lost the war on the battlefield, but because they had been betrayed. By a ‘stab in the back’, as it was called at the time. Hitler bought into the myth: Jews and communists had betrayed the country and brought a left-wing government to power that had wanted to throw in the towel.

Hitler basically just blamed Jews for the defeat, creating an enemy that so many already had. he was just throwing up the flam on the kettle, where so much hot water had just been waiting to explode.

Note:

By using terms referring the to Holocaust, I do not mean any offense and am stating, and creating an image based on the The Anne Frank House.
