Impeachment removes corrupt or unfit to rule leaders out of power. This is beneficial, because not only does it set an example for what not to be, it ensures that we continue a fair and balanced share of power. If we weren't to impeach presidents who were unfit to lead, we would risk up to 8 years of unsafe and unpredictable ruling. Not to mention, if we let presidents who were corrupt rule, then there'd be no point for a president in the first place. Hope this helps :)
