Answer:

Such a great offense can arise from romantic searches,

A great battle can arise from silly things,

I declare this poem to the muse of Caryll, due to:

To this, perhaps Belinda recites one of the verses:

The poem presents a silly subject, but a compliment will be rewarding,

If Belinda inspires the poem and Caryll approves it.

Answer me, what strange thing would encourage a gentleman

to assault a kind girl?

Answer me, what is the strangest thing that would make a kind girl

to reject a gentleman?

Even a small man can accomplish great things

And can women with sensitive hearts be so angry?

Explanation:

As was asked in the question above, all lines of the poem presented by Alexander pope were rewritten, using new words and new phrasal structure, but maintaining the meaning of the original lines, written by Alexander pope.

When a text is rewritten with new words, but with the same meaning as the original text, we can say that a paraphrase was performed. Whenever the paraphrase is made, it is important to present the name of the author and the title of the original text, so that the paraphrase is not considered plagiarism.

Read the sentence below and use context clues to determine the meaning of the word replica: This replica of the ship, the U.S.S.
vodka [1.7K]

Answer:

B, a copy or duplicate.

Explanation:

It isn't the actual ship so it can't be the original version because the original ship would be big not small. It's a ship so it can't be a companion, and no one is presenting anything so it's definitely not an assisted presentation.

Explore the ways in which Bronte creates sympathy for the girls at Lowood school.
givi [52]

Answer:

Bronte creates sympathy for the girls at Lowood school by employing the literary device of personification and starkly describing the girls' less than favorable living conditions in the school.

Explanation:

  • Bronte described Jane's first morning at Lowood school during a winter, the water in the pitchers the girls are meant to use for their morning ablutions are frozen and yet they have to use the water like that.
  • During breakfast they were served burnt porridge they could not eat and consequently had to suffer through the morning to lunch time without eating anything, an event that Bronte suggested happened more than once.
  • The girls are denied simple and harmless luxuries like keeping their natural curls and wearing clean stockings, a fact that ironically contrasts with the way the proprietor's family present themselves in artificial finery.
  • When disease struck the inhabitants of Lowood Bronte described the dismal atmosphere using personification: "while disease had thus became an inhabitant of Lowood, and death its frequent visitor; while there was gloom within its walls; while its rooms and passages steamed with hospital smells." All the makes the reader feel sympathetic towards the girls, as they are living in conditions that are not fit to be lived in.

Which of these corrects the shift a voice in the following sentence
Blababa [14]
I think there is a shift at “...assured him”. From reading the beginning, you would think the person is under arrest, “stay where you are”. But, the sentence goes on to say that the police officer ‘assured’ him that. He could’ve been in danger, so the officer was telling him that help was on the way, just stay put.
