Answer:

is a thick band of neural fibers enabling communication between the two brain hemispheres.

Explanation:

A brain can be defined as an organ of soft nerve tissue that is found in the skull of vertebrates and it's typically responsible for the coordination of nervous activities, intellect and sensation.

The human brain consists of various sections and these includes;

I. Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) which resembles a bow or collar surrounding the frontal part of the corpus callosum. This is the frontal part of the cingulate cortex which helps to make complex cognitive functions such as impulse control, decision-making, emotions and empathy.

II. Ventral prefrontal cortex in humans are interconnected with the brain and are responsible for the processing of risk, empathy, fear and social decision-making

III. The Cerebral Cortex: this part of the brain primarily comprises of grey matter, foldable sheets of neurons and forms its outermost layer. Therefore, cerebral cortex is known as the outermost layer of the brain (cerebrum) and thus, makes up half of its weight. It is about 2.5 millimeters in thickness and as such it's able to fold.

The corpus callosum is a large, thick band of C-shaped neural fibers found beneath the cerebral cortex and it's saddled with the responsibility of enabling communication between the two brain hemispheres i.e the right hemisphere and the left hemisphere.

Vsevolod [243]

Explanation:

Γ-Aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a non-protein amino acid that is widely present in microorganisms, plants and animals. It is the main inhibitory neurotransmitter in the central nervous system (CNS) of mammals.

It plays the leading role in reducing neuronal excitability throughout the nervous system. In humans, GABA is directly responsible for the regulation of muscle tone.

Although, in chemical terms, it is an amino acid, in the scientific and medical communities they rarely refer to GABA as such because the term "amino acid" by convention refers to the α amino acids and GABA is not. It is also not considered as part of any protein.

In spastic diplegia in humans from an early age, GABA absorption is negatively affected by the nerves damaged by the lesion in the upper motor neurons characteristic of the condition which leads to the development of muscular hypertonia signaled by those nerves that are incapable of absorbing GABA.

The sum total of the interactions of the variety of organisms in the biosphere is called:_________
ASHA 777 [7]

The sum total of the interactions of the variety of organisms in the biosphere is called biodiversity.

The term "biodiversity" describes the wide range of organisms that are alive today, including flora, fauna, bacteria, and fungi.

The vast variety of life on Earth is referred to as biodiversity. It can be applied more precisely to all the species found in a given area or ecosystem. Every living creature, which include plants, microbes, animals, and people, is referred to as biodiversity. Around 8.7 million species of plants and animals are thought to exist, according to scientists. However, to date, only about 1.2 million species, the majority of which are insects, have been recognised and described. This means that the identities of millions of other organisms are still unknown.
