The supreme court extends its powers by their decisions which sets a precedents knows as case law. This law is followed when lower courts make decisions. It decides if the laws congress is making are constitutional or if they can be overturned.
Each Veda consists of four parts--the Samhitas (hymns), the Brahmanas (rituals), the Aranyakas (theologies) and the Upanishads (philosophies). The collection of mantras or hymns is called the Samhita. The Brahmanas are ritualistic texts that include precepts and religious duties.
The name of its holy literature is The Vedas.
