that is very true. Before the civil war the south was the most segragated in the country. the white people put african emericans in harsh conditions to grow crops. after the civil war black people were still abused. even to this day we are being killed for no reason. sorry for the typos
I would say that it's the second option. There is little that protects sinners from God's fury I infer this because one of Edward's sermons mention something of being in the hands of an "Angry God".
