Answer:

The only thing you will do is to plug the x in the equation.

x = -2 ---> f(x) = -6

x = 0 ---> f(x) = 0

x = 3 ---> f(x) = 9

x = 7 ---> f(x) = 21

f(x) = 3x

f(-2) = 3(-2)

f(-2) = -6

f(0) = 3(0)

f(0) = 0

f(3) = 3(3)

f(3) = 9

21 = 3x

21 / 3 = 3x / 3

7 = x

Hope this helps, thank you :) !!

Help me please :) have a good day.
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

problem 1: h=a/b problem 2: 5

Step-by-step explanation:

First problem: a=bh

First you have to flip the equation so bh=a

Next you have to divide both sides by b.

bh/b=a/b

so h=a/b

Second problem: 45ft is the area and 9ft is the base so to find the height you have to divide the area by the base

If you only have the base and height you would multiply them to find the area. If you only have area and height you divide area by height to get base.

You have to divide 45 by 9, the answer would be 5.

Hope this helped!

Micheal has a SQUARE garden with a perimeter of 132 feet.Is the area of the garden greater than 1,000 square feet?
Vedmedyk [2.9K]
Well, we know it is a square, so each side is the same length.
SO we can divide the perimeter by 4.
132/4 = 33
SO we know The length is 33 and the width is 33
to find area, we must multiply length times width
33 * 33= 1089
So the area is 1089 ft^2
1089 is greater than 1000
Hope I helped!

A train leaves little rock Arkansas, travels north at 85 kilometers per hour. another train leaves same time and travels south a
iragen [17]

Hi,

Let us denote first train with T₁, its distance d₁, its speed v₁ = 85 km/h.

Similarly, second train would be with T₂, its distance d₂, its speed v₂ = 80 km/h. Also, let d be total distance, d = 495 km.

Given being the fact that train T₁ travels north, and train T₂ travels south, their path is on a straight vertical line. Please create a simple drawing, you will see the vertical line immediately.

Then, we need to find the time t, when d₁ + d₂ = d = 495 km (1)

Each speed v₁, and v₂ is constant, therefore we apply very well known formula:

d₁ = v₁·t, and d₂ = v₂·t (2).

From (1) and (2) we have:

v₁·t + v₂·t = d, or (v₁ + v₂)t = d ⇒ t = d/(v₁ + v₂) = 495/(80 + 85) = 495/165 = 3 hours.

So, it takes 3 hours to have those 2 trains 495 km apart.

Green eyes.
