Answer:

It seems possible that the origin of life on the Earth's surface could have been first prevented by an enormous flux of impacting comets and asteroids, then a much less intense rain of comets may have deposited the very materials that allowed life to form some 3.5 - 3.8 billion years ago.

Imagine a genomic researcher who is analyzing the genome of different types of cats. She finds that a particular sequence in the
egoroff_w [7]

Answers:

  1. The sequence encodes a gene that is critical for life and cannot be easily mutated while retaining function.
  2. The sequence is contained in a retrovirus that has infected both species.

1- Explanation:

6.8 million years is a considerable period of time and if the cats were evolved in two different specie then technically they should have substantially different sequences of gene. However, there are some genes that are critical for the survival of the organisms because they encode a function which is equally important for the organisms of a certain category, even if they are different specie.

For example, the essential genes that are involved in maintenance of metabolism, initiation of replication or translation of genes. Therefore, with the period of time, the mutation of even a single nucleotide can be lethal for these genes, and if it happens organism will simply die. So, if one organisms is died that cannot take part in the process of evolution and would clearly be cut off from the process, However, those who survive can undergo some other mutations and become separate specie.

2- Explanation:

A retro virus inserts itself in to the genome of host organisms and become a part of them. It is very difficult to detect the presence of the retro virus until the organism undergoes infection due to its attack. Cats are a favorable host for retroviruses - called lentiviruses which attack the cats to cause a critical syndrome Feline Immunodeficiency Virus or FIV. Therefore, it is possible that same retrovirus having a particular sequence has attacked both cats and the sequences were taken from those cats.

Hope it help!

All eukaryote cells belong in which group?
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The correct answer is a. domain Eukarya.

Explanation:

Bacteria archaea and eukarya are considered as the three domains of life. Bacteria and eukarya lack a membrane-bound nucleus and other membrane bound organelle therefore they are considered in prokaryotes and organisms having membrane-bound nucleus comes under domain eukarya.

So the organism which have eukaryotic cell comes under domain eukarya. These organisms can be single cellular or multicellular and their genetic material is packed in a double membranous structure called the nucleus. So the correct answer is a. Eukarya.

Za jakie czynności organizmu odpowiada układ współczulny a za jakie przywspółczulny?
nadezda [96]

Answer:  the question is <u>What activities of the body are responsible for the sympathetic nervous system and for which parasympathetic? </u>

is it right thats what the question means?

answer in eng: The sympathetic division initiates the fight-or-flight response and the parasympathetic initiates the rest-and-digest or feed-and-breed responses. The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems are important for modulating many vital functions, including respiration and cardiac contractility.

answer in polish: Podział współczujący inicjuje reakcję walki lub ucieczki, a przywspółczulny inicjuje reakcje odpoczynku i trawienia lub karmienia i rozmnażania. Współczulny i przywspółczulny układ nerwowy jest ważny dla modulowania wielu funkcji życiowych, w tym oddychania i kurczliwości serca.
