Answer:

1. (3,19) and (-1,-13)

  to find the slope you need to do \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}

Hence \frac{-13-19}{-1-3}= 32/-4=-8

2. Take two points on the graph:

(-2,3) and (1,0)

Know that to calculate the slope you do

\frac{rise}{run}= 4/2= 2

3. To find the slope in a table you need to choose any two points and utilize the following formula: \frac{y2-y1}{x2-x1}= \frac{-16-(-8)}{2-1}=-8/1= -8

4. Like in #1 we take the two points and plug it into the formula:

\frac{8-(-10)}{0-9}=18/-9= -2

Total discount for 10 group tickets = 10 · 0.05t

Amount of discount per ticket = 0.05t

Number of tickets = 10

Cost of buying 10 single tickets = 10t

Solution:

Cost for single ticket = t dollars

Discount percent per ticket = 5%

Number of tickets bought = 10

Total discount for 10 group tickets = Number of tickets × Discount amount

                                                         = 10 × 0.05t

Total discount for 10 group tickets = 10 · 0.05t

Amount of discount per ticket = 5%t

                                                  = \frac{5}{100} t

                                                  = 0.05t

Amount of discount per ticket = 0.05t

Number of tickets = 10

Cost of buying 10 single tickets = 10t

Given that lines AB and DE are parallel, determine how triangles ABC and EDC can be shown to be similar
Roman55 [17]

Answer:

The transversals cutting through the parallel lines create angles that are congruent to one another. Angles 1`and 5 are alternate interior and are congruent. Angles 2 and 6 are alternate interior and are congruent. And of course if 2 of 3 angles in 2 triangles are congruent, then the 3rd angles have to be congruent as well.  HOWEVER, we can see that the sides are NOT congruent, and we need at least one side to prove congruency.  Since we have 3 congruent angles, we can only say they are similar.
