Materials:
Northeast Indian baskets, for example, are traditionally made out of pounded ash splints or braided sweetgrass.
Southwestern Indians make baskets from tightly coiled sumac or willow wood.
Today:
Most Indians need to buy the materials or they have to farm the materials to make the baskets which can be made by factories now, it's no longer worth it
