If break starts at 2:45pm this friday, the 26th, and we are back at 7:45am april 5, how many hours of vacation do we get? (add y
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer: 9 days + 17 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Lets calculate the hours first. Because the minutes are the same lets just calculate hours.

12-2=10

Now we add the morning hours.

7+10=17

Now all we have to do is add the days. We also have to keep in mind that this Friday is the 26th. It would also be 5 days until the month ends.

Because we already calculated the rest of the day of the 26th and 5th of April we won't include those as days.

5+4=9 days.

I added the five days until March ended and the 4 days of april. We aren't adding the 5th day of April since we already calculated the hours.

9 days + 17 hours

Convert the length 7 centimeters to meters compare the values when both are written in scientific notation
tatiyna
Meters are 100 times as large as centimeters. So, if we have 800 centimeters, that is the equivalent of 8 meters.

In this scenario, we want to know how many meters is equivalent to 7 centimeters. Since 1 centimeter is 1/100 of 1 meter, we can multiply the amount of centimeters by 1/100 to get the measurement in meters. 7(1/100) will yield 7/100 or .07 meters.

To write this in scientific notation, we take 7 and multiply it by 1/100 or 10^(-2). This is written "7x10^(-2) m".

7 centimeters in scientific notation is just 7x10^0 because it is a single unit. Scientific notation allows us to compare the size of numbers more easily.

For instance 7.12x10^3 is much larger than 7.12x10^(-3) due to the exponents and how many "10s" we are mulitplying our number by.

Solve for x.. please help
Genrish500 [490]
The answer for this problem is that x = 60°, or B.

We can solve this problem by using our knowledge of quadrilaterals. In this problem, we need to know that the number of degrees in a quadrilateral is equal to 360, but, the formula to find the number of degrees in a polygon with n sides is (n-2) * 180.

Now that we know that the sum of the angles if 360°, we can add all the angles and solve for x. The angles with the squares are 90°.

2x° + x° + 90° + 90° = 360°

Get x by itself, combine like terms.

3x° + 180° - 180° = 360° - 180°
3x° = 180°
x = 60°, or B.
