English
1 answer:
Mkey [24]3 years ago

Answer:

Compound ideas, although derived from experience, are formed by the mind by combining simple ideas, so the mind acquires an active role in the production of such compound ideas (such as ideas of beauty, gratitude, universe, etc.).

Explanation:

The understanding selects several ideas, gathers and associates them and ends up synthesizing them into a compound idea of a higher level than the original ones.

The most abstract, more elaborate ideas such as the notion of beauty, eternity, infinity, etc. They are compound ideas (this always according to Locke who was the creator of the differentiation between simple ideas and complex ideas).

An example is the game of billiards: if I hit a billiard ball with the stick, I transmit energy to it, then the ball moves. In other words, a cause (hitting the billiard ball with the stick) is followed by an effect (the billiard ball moves).

What is the longest word in the world and what does it mean?
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

Titin is the largest protein yet discovered. Its full chemical name is 189,819 letters long and, depending on how you define a “word” is the longest word in the English language. It is not included in the dictionary – few lexicographers accept chemical formulae as words. But when people go round Googling “What’s the longest word in the English language?”, they don’t really care if it’s a “real” word or not.

"This fair country alone is settled by freeholders, the possessors of the soil they cultivate..."
beks73 [17]

Answer:

Did some research and I hope this helps

Explanation:

In a way, Crevecoeur wanted America to be a "perfected Britain". He liked some of the aspects and characteristics in Europe, but others he felt should be done away with. "As in Europe, of great lords who possess everything, and of a herd of people who have nothing." Crevecoeur disliked that in Europe, it seemed that those higher up in the economy controlled everything, leaving nothing for lower class groups. He sought change for America stating, "The rich and the poor are not so far removed from each other as they are in Europe". But there were also some qualities Crevecoeur hoped would be utilized by the colonists, such as the European's etiquette. He saw the "back settlers" of America as unrefined and barbaric, and hoped that others would not follow their example.
