The major causes of World War II were numerous. They include the impact of the Treaty of Versailles following WWI, the worldwide economic depression, failure of appeasement, the rise of militarism in Germany and Japan, and the failure of the League of Nations. ... Then, on September 1, 1939, German troops invaded Poland.

World War II was one of the transformative events of the 20th century, causing the death of 3 percent of the world's population. Deaths in Europe totaled 39 million people — half of them civilians. Six years of ground battles and bombing resulted in widespread destruction of homes and physical capital.

Why do you think Hitler was able to amass so much power so quickly?
qwelly [4]
Okay this gets a little complex but follow along hitler was great at inspiring people and was overall very charismatic this allowed him to go up the ranks of the national socialist German workers party he also formed many para military units that allowed him to intimidate many politicians and forcing his enemy’s to stay out of his way. He also may have burned down the German Parliament building and blamed it on the communist so that he could get parliament to pass the enabling act that allowed him emergency powers and he quickly grew his powers from there is this what you wanted? Have a great day (:
