Goryan [66]

Answer: See explanation

Explanation:

I believe that the main thing here that can favor my company is if there's documentation for every process involved with my dealings with Regina Fabrics.

This could have been solved if she didn't reject the cash that was offered to her company after two months, so there should be a formal documents that shows that she rejected the cash which should be acknowledged and signed by her. Also, the monthly payments received by her should be documented as well.

With regards to the above, if there is a formal documentation in place, then I won't have to pay as the guaranty but if this isn't in place, then I may have to pay since there won't be evidences against her.

IRR can be calculated using a financial calculator:

Cash flow in year zero = -$18,139.

Cash flow each year from year one to eight = $3,400

IRR = 10%

To enter the cash flows, click on the CF key on the financial calculator, input value and press the enter key. Press the arrow pointing downwards to input the next cash flow value.

To find IRR, press the IRR button, and press CPT.

photoshop1234 [79]

Answer:

If Tom is single, he can claim THE $250,000 CAPITAL GAINS EXEMPTION.

Explanation:

Capital gain taxes are taxes on any profit you make from the sale of something, such as a house. These taxes apply unless you upgraded to a home with a more expensive purchase price.

With the passage of the taxpayer relief act, individuals can exclude up to $250,000 of capital gains from taxation and married couples can exclude up to $500,000.

To qualify for the home sale capital gains tax exemption, one must pass the use test (looking at whether one used/lived in one's home). One must have owned and lived in the residence for at least two out of the last five years before the sale.

Therefore, since Tom is single and has lived in his home for the past four years and wants to sell, he qualifies for the exemption and can claim THE $250,000 CAPITAL GAINS EXEMPTION.
