Summarizing is an important skill that every student needs to learn. This will help the student make use of his/her time wisely by extracting the key ideas out of a large idea in order to concentrate on more important points during the discussion. Among the most helpful strategies in summarizing starts by skimming the text, highlighting the important keywords and using those keywords as the introductory statement of the summary. Before completing the summary it is important to review the notes and organize before creating a draft.
