Write an essay stating your opinion on whether maturity is dependent on a person's age

Answer: Most people believe that as one grows older, his/her maturity increases. Although this occurs to most people, maturity truly depend on a person's moral belief and experiences rather than age. Maturity is not dependent on a person's age. Some children exhibit more maturity than adults in grave situations as a result of their experiences. Take for example in the book, To Kill A Mockingbird, Scout and Jem, who are children, recognize the wrongful conviction of a man by a jury as an act of racism. Because of their experiences of acts of discrimination, they have matured at a young age.
