Sum means add

the number is x

13 divided by a number is 13/x
the number divided by the number is x/13

so
\frac{13}{x}+\frac{x}{13}
also can be simplified to
\frac{169}{13x}+\frac{x^2}{13x} or
\frac{x62+169}{13x}

translated it is \frac{13}{x}+\frac{x}{13} where x is the number

Anon25 [30]

Answer:

a=16400 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

t = -0.0035 a +g

-17.40 = -0.0035 a+40

-17.40-40=-0.0035a+40-40

-57.40=-0.0035a

a = -57.40/-0.0035

a=16400 feet

Write an expression in factored form that is equivalent to the given expression. 1/2x + 4 . can u also tell how you solved it ?
Rufina [12.5K]
2 ways: Easy and hard
Hard=A
Easy=B
A: 1/2x+4 work from there so we do fun stuff with it make something that can be simplified so 1/2x+4 times (2/2)=x+8 now square the whole thing and put the result in a square root thingie (x+8)^2=x^2+16x+64 \sqrt{x^2+16x+64} multiply the whole thing by 4/4 and put \sqrt{16} [\tex] on top so then
[tex] \sqrt{x^2+16x+64} times \frac{ \sqrt{16} }{4}=\frac{\sqrt{(16)(x^2+16x+64)}}{4}=\frac{ \sqrt{16x^2+256x+1024} }{4} to solve it, factor out the 16 in the square root and then square root 16 to get 4 then it will be (4 times square root of equation)/4=square root of equatio factor square root of equation and square root it and get x+8 divide by 2 to get 1/2x+4

B: 1/2x+4
put stuff that cancels out
1/2x+3x-3x+4+56-56
move them around
3 and 1/2x-3x+60-56
or
2x-3x+1 and 1/2x+30-20+30-36
then just add like terms to solve

What is the equation of the line with the same slope as the equation x-4y=3 and the y-intercept(0,-8)?
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

y = 1/4x -8

Step-by-step explanation:

First find the slope of the line

x-4y =3

Subtract x from each side

x-4y -x = -x+3

-4y = -x+3

Divide each side by -4

-4y/-4 = -x/-4 +3/-4

y = 1/4 x -3/4

This is in the form y= mx+b where the slope is m and the y intercept is b

The slope is 1/4

We want the same slope

y = 1/4x +b

we know the y intercept is -8

y = 1/4x -8
