2/5 of here essay will be the conclusion.

You will not need to change the denominator because they are already equal.
So you take 1/5 + 2/5
Then you take the sum of those which is 3/5 and subtract it from 5/5 because 5/5 is the essay in whole. So you take 5/5 - 3/5 to get your answer.
The answer will then be: 2/5 of the essay is Jocelyn's conclusion.

A car has an initial value of $20,000. The value then "depreciates" or decreases by 10% of its initial value each year. Which eq
Elden [556K]

Answer:

D) v = -2,000y + 20,000.

Step-by-step explanation:

The question gives a linear relationship between two quantities.  This means that the relationship between the initial value of the car and the amount it depreciates each year is proportional, or constant.  Since the value of the car decreases by 10% of its initial value each year, then each year the value will decrease by 10% of 20,000 or 0.10 x 20000 = $2,000.  Since we know the value is decreasing each year, this amount would be subtracted from the initial value of $20,000.  So, D) v = -2,000y + 20,000 would be the only equation that represents this scenario.

The area of a rectangle is pool is (15x-9) square units. Factor 15x-9 to find possible dimensions of the pool
Darya [45]
This is the concept of algebra, given that the area of a rectangular pool is (15x-9), the possible dimensions of the pool by factoring will be:
Area=length×width
Area=(15x-9)
factoring the above we get:
Area=3(5x-3)
therefore the possible dimension will be:
length=5x units
width=3 units

What is the equation of the line shown in the graph?
postnew [5]

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

The formula of a slope:

m=\dfrac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

We have the points (-3, 1) and (2, -4). Substitute:

m=\dfrac{-4-1}{2-(-3)}=\dfrac{-5}{5}=-1

Therefore we have the equation of a line

y=-1x+b\to y=-x+b

Put the coordinates of the point (-3, 1) to the equation:

1=-(-3)+b

1=3+b      <em>subtract 3 from both sides</em>

-2=b\to b=-2

<h3>Answer: y = -x - 2</h3>

The table shows the ratio of caramel corn to cheddar cornvin a bag. What is the constant propotionality?
zvonat [6]
Since we know is a proportionality, namely a multiplier on "x", we can simply use any of those points, say hmmm let's use 10, 15,

\bf \qquad \qquad \textit{direct proportional variation}\\\\&#10;\textit{\underline{y} varies directly with \underline{x}}\qquad \qquad  y=kx\impliedby &#10;\begin{array}{llll}&#10;k=constant\ of\\&#10;\qquad  variation&#10;\end{array}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\textit{we know that }&#10;\begin{cases}&#10;x=10\\&#10;y=15&#10;\end{cases}\implies 15=k10\implies \cfrac{15}{10}=k\implies \cfrac{3}{2}=k

Sunny_sXe [5.5K]

Answer:

3/5

Step-by-step explanation:

6 white cars out of 10 cars would be written as 6/10.

You then would simplify this fraction to 3/5.

So your answer is 6/10 or 3/5.
