One of my personal values is a jack-knife that belonged to my great-grandfather. What I do to demonstrate the value it has to me, is that I don't let anybody use it, I clean every time after I wash it and I keep it as sharp as my great-grandfather left it.
Another personal value of mine is a set of books, including an old Don Quixote de la Mancha edition my grandma gave me. What I do to demonstrate the value they have to me, is to keep them clean and out of reach so damage is minimal. I also read them every night before going to sleep.

C) It is ironic that the young married women have so much, and yet feel quiet unhappy.
Irony is when the opposite of what is expected happens. The entire passage describes how easy life is for the young married women in Floral Heights and other prosperous areas of Zenith. One would expect the women to be happy that they want for nothing and only have to work for two hours a day. They can spend their days in leisure, enjoying the company of their friends. However, at the end it is revealed that they are actually unhappy. This is the opposite of what is expected and therefore, ironic.

The author starts by lyrically describing the refreshing, bright, and regenerating effect of dew and dawn on nature (she uses terms such as <em>stars</em>, <em>jewels</em>, <em>bright </em>and <em>gem</em>) in order to compare it with the one that the love of his lover ("fresh as the dawn") has on her. That love, like the dew and the dawn, has made a path for her where everything along the way shines as she passes by, solely for her own pleasure.
