In my personal opinion, the biggest reason/incentive for saving would be Financial Freedom. This is the ability to not have to depend on a full-time job in order to survive and be able to live off of the passive income being produced by the money that you saved. If you save enough money and invest it correctly you can live off of the interest that is being generated from those investments. This allows you to not have to work a full-time job and instead free's up your time to pursue meaningfull hobbies or even travel. I believe that is true freedom and it is something that motivates me to save money.
