Answer:

Government's movement to remove outside influences from law-making bodies

Explanation:

Given that the sign above the Senate is the seal of the United States Senate. The seal represents freedom and authority, with the red liberty cap and crossed faces accordingly.

A major reason Irish immigrants came to the United States in the 1840s was?
Jlenok [28]

B. To escape a potato famine.

The potato famine in Ireland caused many to face starvation of if they could afford it leave the country and go to the United States.

The potato famine, referred to as the Great Famine in Ireland, caused potato destruction from 1845-1849. A disease attacked the potatoes causing the potatoes to die and create no crop. Farmers relied on the production of potatoes to survive both from sale and to eat. Many Irish starved to death or struggled to survive on very little. Those that could afford to leave, did so. Many Irish arrived in the US to find jobs in cities or begin farming new lands opening in the Midwest.

Triss [41]
<span>True. Corn is the most profitable commodity in Virginia. Though corn is plant that evolved in Mexico, English settlers found out that it was a key food source for Native Americans in Virginia. Which of the following best illustrates the dichotomy of American society's attitudes about slavery in the early 19th century?
schepotkina [342]
A--The Missouri Compromise showed that some in America wanted slavery to extend into new states and others wanted the states to be free of slavery.

The Missouri Compromise was an agreement that states north of Missouri would be free and those south would be slave states. This agreement shows the growing disagreement with slavery but also the need to compromise and not get rid of slavery completely as it was needed in the south.
