Parts of Nazi Germany were starting to grow already and many "free" countries like America disagreed with that, even though the war wasn't going to begin till 1939. It seemed the Germans had contradicting views to many of the current Americas. Another reason may be the German power of the Era. It is important to note that Germany was very successful and held major control.
