Despite Great Britain’s massive military advantages, there were several reasons that they lost the Revolution. When the English lost at the Battle of Saratoga, the Colonists gained their biggest advantage; the French. Not only did France help support the patriot troops, but thanks to the efforts of Marquis de Lafayette, they also gained French troops and ships. This put the colonists at a massive advantage that played a significant role in England’s loss. In addition to this, the colonists were devoutly persistent in their revolutionary efforts after declaring independence. After July of 1776, there was no turning back. The patriot rebellion was driven by anger, and extremely powerful motives, whereas the British were driven mostly by fear of economic loss. This also contributed to England's loss during this time. More specific factors such as George Washington and Baron Von Steuben also aided the colonists greatly, resulting in British loss.

How did the battle of midway change the course of the war
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

The hard defeat suffered by the Imperial Army of Japan ended its expansion plans for the Pacific.  In the opposite way, the Midway battle began the offensive operations of the US Navy during World War II.

Explanation:

Hello!

Within the framework of World War II, the battle of Midway took place between June 4 and 7, 1942 in the Midway Atoll, where the United States had a military base.

The intention of Admiral Yamamoto, who was in charge of the Japanese Army, was to attack that military base to damage the US naval fleet. With this, he thought he could prevent the American navy from interfering with the Japanese expansion campaign, which was developing in East and Southwest Asia.

As a result of the battle, the Japanese army that participated in combat was practically destroyed, considerably weakening its power.
