I need help with this project I just have to write about building pollution in New York and what’s currently being done to stop
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

Ambient Air Quality Monitoring - tracks air quality, measures air pollutants
Air Program Forms and Instructions provides forms for facility registration, facility permits, emission reduction

There is also a pesticide management program that regulates the use of pesticides and is responsible for making sure places are compliant, enforce state pesticide laws, and protect the water from pesticide related contamination; they are working on sewage pollution, water, air, storm sewer systems, keep up with storm-water discharged from construction sites

Explanation:

There is a New York City Air pollution Control Code and the penalty schedule is also there online.

The struggle is with the many ways that NYC is polluted by air and water.

The major pollutants are the following:

Fine Particulate Matter -  motor vehicles and boilers used for heating in the city
Nitrogen Oxide - produced by fuel combustion
Elemental Carbon - fossil fuel combustion, including diesel exhaust
Sulfur Dioxide - released from the power plants and industrial facilities - can cause acid rain
Ozone- atoms that enter the air from motor vehicle exhaust, industrial emissions, and some natural sources.  This should protect us from the sun's rays, but instead it creates smog

Is the following sentence s simple, compound, complex, or compound-complex sentence?
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

The correct answer to this question would be is a compound sentence. A compound sentence is when there are two parts of a sentence that can work alone as complete sentences, but which are combined into one sentence with the use of a conjunction (and, but, etc.). In this case, "I watched the movie" and "I didn't like it" can stand on their own as separate sentences. However, they are put together into one sentence by the word "but," a conjunction, which classifies this sentence as compound. I hope this helps you!

You are trying to convince your classmates to each donate $5 to abandoned animals
kotykmax [81]
Hi there, so when convincing someone to do anything either for you or for someone, you are going to want to appeal to their sense of logos, pathos, and ethos. Logos is logic which is usually the facts on why they should do this, pathos is using emotions to persuade someone to do something, and ethos is using the sense of right and wrong on someone and they know what is right and what is wrong. Now knowing this information, you can appeal to their logos or logic by saying, "About 95% of shelters that are donated too have helped to save an animal and help find them a home." This appeals to their logic because of its facts and makes them think about it. Appealing to their pathos can be, "Think about the animals, they don't deserve to be on the streets and think about how happy they will be when the shelter finds them a home." This would appeal to your classmate's feelings on how the animal really would be happy with that one donation. Appealing to their sense of right and wrong can be, "Remember when you got Sparky, how happy he was when you rescued him? Now you can help save other animals too." They would know that it is the right thing to do and they would 90% donate money to the abandoned animals. Hope this helped, if you have questions please ask!
