A bicyclist is in the exact middle of a straight trail that has endpoints at coordinates (11, 2) and (13, 5)on a map. Each unit

of the grid is equal to 1 mile. What are the coordinates of the bicyclist on the map? *

Answer: (12, 3.5)

We have to find the midpoint. So we do,

11+13=24 /2 = 12
2+5=7 /2 = 3.5

So the bicyclist is at (12, 3.5) on the map.
