Answer+Explanation:

Ok so there's a civil war going on in Syria (a country in the Middle East). As you would probably imagine, people are fleeing Syria because of safety concerns or being pushed out due to the conflict. The refugees flee/fled to many countries but the most notable ones are Turkey, Jordan, and Lebanon. The war is regarding the awful conditions that are in Syria, and there was also some outside pressure from neighboring countries to get Syria to get its act together. (there are more reasons but these are the ones that come to mind immediately)

The Antebellum South What was life like for slaves prior to the beginning of the Civil War? Use examples from Harriet’s narrativ
Oliga [24]

Answer:

In the Antebellum South, most slaves had difficult times characterized by poverty, very long-work hours doing demanding physical tasks, and psychological and physical abuse. They also had their families frequently torn apart.

Women, as recorded in Harriet Ann Jacobs work, were vicitms of sexual abuse on a constant basis.

Not all slaves were abused, and some slaves acquired relative wealth and status, but they were the minority. The vast majority of slaves had extremely difficult living conditions, and most importantly, they lacked the liberty that the US Constitution was supposed to guarantee.

Which action is an example of public policy?
Phantasy [73]

Answer:

The correct answer is D. Inspecting restaurant kitchens to make sure they are clean is an example of public policy.

Explanation:

Public policy is a concept of political science which designates the interventions of an authority invested with public power and governmental legitimacy in a specific area of society or territory.

Public policies can also be described as a set of coordinated actions, carried out by a public authority, with a view to obtaining a modification or an evolution of a given situation. The fields concerned can be of any kind: infrastructure, health, family, housing, employment, vocational training, research, public service, crisis, deficit, etcetera.

Therefore, a series of inspections of the restaurant kitchens in a given place, with the aim of contributing to the improvement of the sanitary conditions of society, is a clear example of a public policy.
