Answer:

Given,

Between 6am and 10am the temperature rose by 5 degrees F,

So, the total changes in temperature between 6 AM and 10 AM = +5°

And, Between 10am and 2pm the temperature rose by 6 degrees F

⇒ The total changes in temperature between 10am and 2pm = + 6° F,

Also, Between 2pm and 6pm the temperature rose by 0 degrees C,

⇒ The total changes in temperature between 2pm and 6pm = +0°,

Hence, the total changes in temperature since 6 AM =  the total changes between 6 AM and 10 AM +  The total changes between 10am and 2pm + The total changes between 2pm and 6pm

=  5° + 6° + 0

= 11°

Hence, the + sign shows the rise in temperature,

And, it is rose by 11°.

⇒ We would be able to tell how much the temperature rose since 6am.

Because we have given adequate informations.

No, a degree in C is much larger than a degree in F, so since the two are used in this question, it is imposable to know if the temperature raised at all between the time of 2 pm and 6pm

The center of a circle is the point (3, 2). if the point (6, −2) lies on this circle, find the standard equation for the circle.
garri49 [273]
Given
centre of circle O(3,2)=O(x0,y0)
point on circle P(6,-2)

Standard equation of circle:
(x-x0)^2+(y-y0)^2=r^2

r=radius of circle
= (distance OP)
= sqrt((6-3)^2+(-2-2)^2)
=sqrt(3^2+(-4)^2)
=sqrt(25)

=>
r^2=(sqrt(25))^2=25

Equation of circle
(x-x0)^2+(y-y0)^2=r^2
(x-3)^2+(y-2)^2=25   ............... standard equation of circle
