First you need to make the fractions denominators equal. So you will multiply 1/3 by 4 and 3/4 by 3, leaving you with 4 4/12 - 2 9/12. Simply leaving you with 1 7/12

Answer:

<h3>1 7/12 </h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

1.  4\frac{1}{3} -2\frac{\\3}{4}

2.<em> make the fractions to an improper fractions which would be</em>  \frac{13}{3}  and \frac{11}{4}

3. Multiply the top and bottom of this \frac{13}{3} by 4.

4. Multiply the  top and bottom of this \frac{11}{4} by 3.

5. You should get \frac{52}{12} and \frac{33}{12}.

6. Subtract them and you should get \frac{19}{12}.

7. Reduce your answer to 1\frac{7}{12}.

Hope this helps. :)

I have 120 cm of framing material to make a picture frame, which will be most pleasing to the eye if its height is 2/3 of its wi
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

The formula for perimeter is:

<span>P = 2 h +  2 w</span>

where P is perimeter = 120 cm, h is height, w is width

we are also given that: h = (2/3) w, therefore:

P = 2 (2/3) w + 2 w = 120

(4/3) w + 2 w = 120

w = 36 cm

Therefore l is:

l = (2/3) w = 24 cm

<span>Hence the dimension should be 24cm by 36 cm</span>
