Furthermore, the addition of the Bill of Rights showed that the Constitution can be amended; the Bill of Rights were the first ten amendments. This means that while the Constitution would be built on the same values, laws, and compromises decided during its creation, it would and could evolve with the American people.

Without the Bill of Rights, the Constitution would not have been ratified.
